Excellent Vegan Cheese Fries

I LOVE making my favorite pre-vegan foods and turning them around to make them vegan. Like vegan cheese fries, I mean why not?

We loved I mean totally were in LOVE with cheese fries and ranch, we had it on a weekly basis. Well, I have since found a vegan ranch that is out of this world and what would be better than to pair it up with some vegan cheese fries!
vegan cheese friesI started out with potatoes and cut them up wedge style with skins on then seasoned them with whatever I felt like. A little sprinkle of smoked paprika here, a little dab of garlic powder there, maybe some chili pepper or even some chipotle powder.

You can top them with whatever your heart desires this one I topped with black beans or nothing at all.
Once I baked them up to yummy pillows of potatoes I topped them with extreme pleasure!

Look how amazing this is!! I teamed it up with my recipe for Sriracha Ranch and this could not be more deviously delicious! This was just as good if not better than restaurant cheese fries and an added bonus is no animals were harmed in making these vegan cheese fries.
Black Bean Cheese Fries


  • 8-9 potatoes cut up wedged with skins
  • Your own special blend of seasonings ( I use Smoked Paprika, Garlic powder, Chili Powder,
  • Chipotle Powder and Cumin)
  • 1 bag shredded cheese (I use Follow Your Heart cheddar shreds)
    Optional toppings:
  • Green onions
  • 1 can black beans
  • Whatever you want


  1. I cut up and baked my potatoes on 400 degrees for about 45 minutes.
  2. While baking I make my saracha ranch (will show you where to get recipe).
  3. When they are done baking I top with everything else and bake for about 5-10 minutes more.
This actually not expensive to make, the cheese is the most expensive part and the mayo lasts quite awhile. 
Enjoy this moment! When you put the first bite in your mouth, you may want to capture it in a selfie 🙂It’s so good it is bad!! I pair this recipe with this ranch sauce and it is really very good.
*Update- I do try to not eat this that often since is a little unhealthy, but it feels so good to indulge every now and then and not give up on your values 😉
